Grady turns 1!

Okay it's been nearly a week since his birthday, but just realized that my post was only a draft. So, here it is.

I cannot believe that our baby is now a big 1 year old! Where does the time go? Seriously, it seems like so much has happened in this past year, but he can't possibly be a year old already...

We didn't do anything big, just some close friends and family and being the night before Easter it was smaller than we had thought, but much less work and still enjoyable :) There are a million pictures, but the cupcake was the best part!

Grady's response to all of us singing happy birthday wasn't what we had hoped for and broke my heart. I honestly wanted to stop singing, but we didn't. He SCREAMED and screamed!!






Finally he started to calm down once we stopped and blew out the candle. He was mesmerized by the smoke ;)












He was so excited about the cupcake, but didn't quite know what to do with it. James had to get him started, but then there was no turning back :)














He needed a little milk to get down all that cupcake. He ate most of it, but I should have taken a picture of his highchair once he was out, about half of it was there. Good thing, because that was more sugar than he'd had in the last 11 months combined. :)









After all that fun with the cupcake he needed a bath in the kitchen sink. He was all smiles as usual.














Then came time for the presents, I thought this one said it all. Don't they always love the boxes more than the presents? haha!
