Gracie's end of the year unit was on Pioneers. So her end of the year party it was pioneer style. They got to dress-up, (thanks Henriette) learn a dance, sing songs, make butter, eat pioneer food (fried chicken, rice & beans, cornbread & shortbread for dessert) play with pioneer toys and play games (bob for apples).In between Hope's play-day and pick-up I stopped by Gracie's class for an hour or so to take part in the pioneer festivities :) I got there in perfect time to see them do there square dance and eat the pioneer meal. What a great day!!!
