Every year, the entire Oates clan spends an entire day at the Regional Park. James & I have been the lucky ones to stand in line since we live in
Yucaipa. This year, we got in line at about 9 (the park doesn't open until 10) and we were already about 50
th in line :( We were hoping to get a cabana with a BBQ for the ribs we brought for lunch, but it all worked out okay. We set up right below a cabana and the nice people (that got in line at 6:30) let us use their BBQ to grill with.
We ate lots of good food and the kids swam and went down the slide until their lips were purple! :)

Cameron and Grady spent a good part of the afternoon looking at each other and trying to eat the others arm! The day was beautiful and not too hot! It was Lanaya's 2nd birthday and she loved playing in the sand and finally ended up crashing on her daddy's shoulder, after a few crying fits, but after all it was her birthday and she could cry if she wanted too! :)

James loves it when I make faces on his back with the sunscreen(not really, but at least he's a good sport about it!)
It was so much work to get all our junk down by the beach and the trip back to the car was long and
everyone's arms were packed full! Almost as good as the real beach, but way less mess and an hour closer to home :)
We LOVE summertime! We topped off the evening by having pizza back at Juli and Jr's house and cake for Naya's b-day.
