Hoper's first field trip

This was Hope's first official fieldtrip! We headed with her preschool, YPP, to Greenspot Farms to learn about honeybees, animals in the petting zoo, run thru mazes, trudge thru the pumpkin patch and of course go on the tractor ride around the farm!

Hope had fun picking the perfect pumpkin, but was concerned that hers was too dirty. haha! :)

The fields were a little muddy, so I was glad we didn't trudge too far in. Grady got all excited about Hope's pumpkin as she held it up for him to see. While we were there we saw our friends the Gilberts, who were also there on their first fieldtrip. Justin & Hoper were eager to show off their muscles by holding their pumpkins :)

We waited for the other group to finish before we could have our turn...I figured a picture would be a good diversion, that lasted of about 2 seconds! But finally it was our turn. Grady went along, but all you can see is the sling, but he is in there behind Hope and did really well. She and her friend Lauren sat & enjoyed the tractor ride, after our 10 minute wait, which seemed like an eternity with 20 whining kids and their momma's.
After our tractor ride we had snack with her class and then headed home. Hope was so sad because she wanted to go to preschool. The tears ceased once Miss Kim assured Hope that this was our "school" today. We had a great trip. I think we might come back to the Greenspot patch instead of the Live Oak, when we get our pumpkins to carve as a family. We'll see.
