Learning about Veterans and Memorials

This week in one of our stories, it talked abut Veterans and Memorials, so we focused on that for history. To help them better understand the concept, we visited a local one. Flag Hill Park here in town has a memorial dedicated to a solider who fought in the Korean War. We had quite the interesting conversation about it all. Fun stuff! I hope one day to take the girls to the east, DC, Virginia and that whole area that is filled with history, now that will be fun! :)
