Snow Much fun!

It has been pretty cold out and raining alot! I talked to my papa this am and he said there was about 4 inches of snow onthe ground and it was still coming down. So, we decided to head up to Nana & Papa's for some time to play in the snow and a hot lunch with them. We gor out our winter coats, gloves, hats and scarves to head for the snow. We thought we might sled at my folks and throw some snow balls for sure! The kids were thrilled as we drove to see the white snow covering the ground, however as we drove it just continued to rain :(

We got out at Nana & Papa's and the kids ran to the snow. Since it had already snowed earlier in the week, there were big piles where they had plowed the walkways and roads. The rain continued and pretty quickly the snow turned to slush :(, the kids didn't seem to mind though. James and I played with them in the snow/slush for a bit, but then headed inside to stand by the warm fire. Once they were chilled to the bone and their gloves were soaked they made their way inside and we all dried our gloves by the fire.

Grady stayed inside with Nana while we played outside, but he was in his warm clothes too!

We ate lunch together and then bundled back up to get in the car. You'd think they had never been in the snow, but as a child I guess it doesn't get old! Yeah, for fun days in the snow that we can drive up to and drive home away from :)
