The Music Man

I love the Redlands Bowl! I love the spirit of it, the feel in the air, the people and definitely the sounds. My parents are great about taking the kids, alternating each week with a different kid all summer long. It's so much fun to picnic, play games and then listen or see what's playing. At least once a season we all go as a family and make a night of it. This year the Music Man was what we all chose to see.The night was fabulous! I made a yummy salad, chocolate chip bars and we had some wine (shared by friends-thanks Mercers) We saw lots of friends and even some family there too! Part of the fun is before the show. We got there about 6 and ate, played games, chatted with friends and the kids ran around after eating popsicles.
Nana and Gracie
Wesley's "cheese" face cracks me up! I love this kid!

I love this picture! The kids sat like this all on their own and made me laugh, each of them enjoying their popsicle and oblivious to me!Hope had to share her popsicle tongue with me
This is what you get when you add water to dirty hands and wipe them on your faceThe show was very well done and the kids really enjoyed it. Grady conked out about half way through, but Wesley sat on my Papa's lap and stayed awake the entire show!
We are looking forward to a few more summer nights spent at the bowl!

Over the Rainbow

Every few years the Nydams and the Oates make a trip to the Rainbow outlet in San Clemente. This year, as Rachel and Sarah's birthday present, I took them to lunch and then got them new rainbows and we made a girls day of it. Gracie and Zach both were at sleep overs, so it was just Hope, her friend Callia, the Nydams and I. We stopped at Ruby's for lunch and then got us some new Rainbows!!!Happy Birthday Rachel and Sarah! We love you! Hope you enjoy your new Rainbows, we know you'll get lots of use out of them :)

Zach's soccer camp picture

Blogger was being weird before and wouldn't let me load any pictures, but now it's fine, so here's Zach's picture at soccer camp...
This was a great camp, with encouraging coaches where Zachary was able to really improve his skills. We will be doing this again next summer! Check it out? Look here...http://www.challengersports.com/

Our newest addition

Every year we make the trip to Spirit West Coast in Del Mar and every year we have borrowed a RV or trailer. In the past we've considered purchasing one, but never got beyond the looking phase, until now. The week before SWC nothing seemed to come together for a trailer or RV. Everything we had used in the past was being used and even those we'd never used were taking there's out for the long weekend.
I had hoped and prayed that something would work out, so I didn't plan on renting one (which we did 1yr) When I did check into renting something everything was rented except the top of the line 42 ft house on wheels that was more each night than a stay the Marriot!
And because we enjoy camping and do all the food for the group, we didn't consider a hotel either, until this week when nothing seemed to be coming together...But of course at the last minute on Memorial weekend on the coast there was nothing available! :(
As a last resort I checked with our neighbor about borrowing their trailer and instead ended up buying it!

Thanks David and Ellen, you're the best! We will make so many great memories while camping in our trailer!

So here's our newest addition...Nothing spectacular, but it's the perfect size for our family and is in execellent condition and to make the deal even sweeter, we can park it through the gate at the end of our street on the lot another neighbor owns.

Want to go camping???

Tag I'm It!

This is...I had to take a closer look at some of the other pictures in the folder to determine if the dates were right, or I'm just getting old. he he! This is Gracie, June 4, summer '06. We have Oates family night the 1st Sunday of every month, where his parents, all his siblings & their families get together, hang out and eat together.

This was when we did it at James aunt's house in Long Beach. The house is the house that James mom and siblings grew up in and his aunt bought it from Mimi some years back, so all the grand kids have fond memories of swimming in the pool & going down the slide often :)

Crazy how time flies. I actually thought this pic was of Hope this past summer; good thing I checked.

Here are the rules of the tag:
- Go to your Pictures folder
- Go to the 6 th folder
- Go to the 6 th picture
- Publish it to a new post and tell the story of the picture.

I tag Legihann! :)
